Siding
The siding market
What owners buy depends on where they live. Nationally, new single-family homes are split almost evenly between vinyl, stucco and fiber cement, with brick behind them, but vinyl leads by a wide margin in the Northeast and Midwest while stucco leads in the West. A campaign that talks about the wrong material in the wrong region pays for clicks that never turn into estimates, so we build every account around the products you actually install.
This page covers siding contractor marketing nationally. Each market we serve has its own siding page with the local climate, licensing and code details, so start there to see how we would work in your area. We do not have a published siding case study yet, so this page describes how we run the work rather than quoting results from a siding client.

What drives demand
Why siding contractors get called
-
Hail, wind and storm repairs
Severe weather and hail events made up the largest group of billion-dollar disasters in 2024, and storms like these leave cracked, dented and missing siding behind. Owners need fast repairs, matching material and help documenting damage for their insurer, and they call the contractors they can find that week.
-
Upgrades to fiber cement and other materials
Fiber cement has gained ground on new homes for a decade, and owners replacing older vinyl or wood often ask about it by name. Contractors who explain the tradeoffs between materials in plain language win replacements that would otherwise go to the lowest bid.
-
Wildfire hardening in fire country
In states where wildfire is a real threat, the material on the walls matters to owners who want to harden their homes. Programs such as Wildfire Prepared Home ask for noncombustible material at the base of the walls and, at the higher level, noncombustible siding throughout.
-
Moisture, rot and trim repairs
Water that gets behind siding rots sheathing, trim and soffits long before the owner sees it. Inspections, board replacements, trim and flashing repairs keep crews busy between larger jobs and often lead to a full replacement estimate a year or two later.
-
Sales and curb appeal
Owners preparing to sell, and buyers who just closed on an older house, both look at the exterior first. Siding, trim and paint projects tied to a sale move on tight timelines and reward contractors who answer the phone and schedule estimates quickly.
How we run it
How we market siding contractors
We start with Advanced LSA Max. Google lists siding services among the home service categories eligible for Local Services Ads in the US, so we set up the job types you want, separate repairs from replacements and choose service areas your crews can reach. Google no longer issues credits for leads outside the job types or areas you serve, which makes those settings a budget decision. We listen to recorded calls, rate leads in the account and use call tracking with ROAS to tell a two-board repair from a full re-side, so spend is judged on the jobs it produces. Local directory set-up, Google Business Profile optimization and management, and Performance Max keep you visible while owners compare materials and quotes.
Search engine optimization builds pages by material and job: vinyl replacement, fiber cement installation, stucco repair, storm damage, soffit and fascia. Answer and generative engine optimization (AI search) and content development cover the questions owners now ask an assistant before they request a bid, such as which material holds up to hail, what a wildfire program asks of the walls and how long a re-side takes. We write those answers for your region, not a generic national version.
Siding is a visual sale, so we build your marketing around finished work. Before and after photos, short videos of a re-side in progress and project pages that name the product and the reason for the change carry more weight than ad copy. We set up a review request after every completed job and ask customers to mention the material they chose. After a storm we raise budgets only as far as your crews can reach and keep profile hours current. Monthly reports show calls, estimates and signed jobs by area and job type.

Questions
Siding marketing, answered
- Can siding contractors run Google Local Services Ads?
- Yes. Google lists siding services among the home service categories eligible for Local Services Ads in the US. You need to pass Google's business screening for the category, and you should advertise only the work your state license or local registration allows.
- Which siding material should our marketing lead with?
- The one your region buys and your crews install best. In 2025, vinyl covered 70 percent of new single-family homes completed in the Northeast and 64 percent in the Midwest, while stucco covered 55 percent in the West. We build pages and ads around your real product mix, not a national average.
- How should siding contractors market after a hail or wind storm?
- Move fast but stay inside your capacity. Raise budgets and widen service areas only as far as your crews can reach, keep Google Business Profile hours current and lead with repairs you can schedule this month. We adjust campaigns daily during storm weeks and pull back when your calendar is full.
- Does wildfire hardening create siding work?
- In wildfire country, yes. The IBHS Wildfire Prepared Home program asks for at least 6 inches of noncombustible material at the base of exterior walls, and its Plus level excludes vinyl and wood siding. Owners working toward it need contractors who can explain the options.
- Is siding repair or full replacement the better lead to buy?
- It depends on your margins and crew, which is why we track both. Repairs come in more often and close faster, while replacements are larger but take longer to sell. Call tracking with ROAS attribution shows which one earns more per dollar in your market.
