What contractors in San Antonio & South Texas are up against
Water sets much of the agenda. San Antonio Water System ties lawn watering to the level of the Edwards Aquifer at one monitored well, building over the recharge zone needs a state-approved plan, and Valley cities draw on reservoirs that sat near record lows in 2025. Add hail swaths across Bexar County, multi-day freezes and some of the fastest suburban growth in Texas along Interstate 10 and Interstate 35, and the lead mix changes by season and by county.
We plan each part of the region on its own. A plumber in older San Antonio neighborhoods, a septic and well crew in Kendall County and an air conditioning company in Harlingen do not want the same calls, so service areas, job types and budgets are built around the work each one actually wants to run.

Questions
Contractor marketing in San Antonio & South Texas, answered
- Does Real Time Marketing work with contractors in San Antonio and South Texas?
- Yes. We run Local Services Ads, Google Business Profile management, SEO and AI search visibility for home service contractors in San Antonio, Boerne, the Hill Country, Goliad and Harlingen, from our headquarters in Bradenton, Florida. Each campaign is built around the counties and ZIP codes your crews actually cover.
- How do SAWS watering stages affect contractor marketing in San Antonio?
- They change what homeowners search for. Under Stage 3, SAWS limits sprinkler watering to one day a week and adds a surcharge on very high use, so leak detection, irrigation repair, drip conversions and drought-tolerant landscaping get more attention. We adjust job types, pages and budgets when the stage changes.
- Can one campaign cover San Antonio and the Rio Grande Valley?
- It usually should not. Harlingen is a long drive from San Antonio, with different storms, utilities and insurance rules, so we build separate service areas, budgets and pages for each region and report on them separately. That keeps a Valley budget from paying for San Antonio clicks.
- Do Texas contractors need a license to run Local Services Ads?
- For licensed trades, yes. Texas licenses plumbers through the State Board of Plumbing Examiners and electricians and air conditioning contractors through TDLR, and Google's Local Services Ads verification checks business details that can include your license. Matching the license name to your business name avoids delays.
- What does Advanced LSA Max include for a San Antonio contractor?
- Advanced LSA Max combines local directory set-up and Google Business Profile optimization, ongoing Google Business Profile management, Local Services Ads plus Performance Max management, and lead call tracking with ROAS attribution. In South Texas we plan each part around drought stages, storm seasons and the distances between your service areas.
