Technology Vision Leader, Real Time Marketing
Austen Saxby is the Technology Vision Leader at Real Time Marketing and President of Unify360, the company's AI platform for home service businesses. He leads Unify360 end to end: product vision, engineering, and customer experience, building the systems that help contractors capture every lead, book every job, and prove what their marketing actually earned.
Leadership and role
Austen runs Unify360 with a small team and full accountability: no layers between a decision and its outcome. He sets direction at the top, the decisions, the deltas, the finished picture, and stays close enough to the work to catch drift before it compounds. Developers own what they build end to end. QA verifies against live behavior, never assumptions.
His operating belief is simple: technology should earn its place in the business. If a system adds complexity without adding clarity, it does not ship. That standard governs everything from the AI's first reply to a customer to the architecture underneath it.
Professional background
Austen has been with Unify360 since the beginning, back when it was not a company at all but review software inside Real Time Marketing. Real Time Reviews did one thing: help contractors generate customer feedback. Working directly with RTM's clients, Austen kept seeing the same gaps. Reviews were only the last step of a much longer story: the missed call that never got answered, the lead that waited hours for a reply, the booking that never happened, the marketing dollar nobody could trace to a closed invoice.
Over the past ten years, he transformed that single-purpose review tool into Unify360, an AI-powered growth platform for home service businesses, guided at every step by direct feedback from the contractors using it. Messaging came because clients were losing leads after hours. AI booking came because speed wins jobs. Attribution came because "we got you leads" was never a good enough answer.
Nothing in the platform was built from a trend deck. It was built from ten years of listening to what contractors actually needed, then closing the gap.
Product philosophy
Austen's product philosophy is built on a handful of convictions, pressure-tested in production:
He designs for the hundredth client, not the first. Familiarity with old workflows never outranks getting it right for the next hundred businesses.
He believes in smart defaults over configuration. The best setup experience is guided onboarding that collapses into a quiet "you're all set," not a manual.
He never specs from a demo. Claims about what the product does get verified against live behavior before they become requirements.
He keeps the machinery invisible. When the AI talks to a customer, it speaks as the client's team, "we," never "they," and no customer ever hears the words behind the curtain.
Unify360
Unify360 is a closed loop for conversion. Every lead is classified and assigned a customer journey stage from the moment they contact the business, and nothing is ever left sitting in limbo.
The cycle runs end to end. A new lead is answered in seconds, qualified, and booked. A stalled thread is re-engaged. A booked job moves to completed, to paid invoice, to a review request, to that review shared across social, to the repeat customer, and the cycle starts all over again. Every stage has a next step. When a lead stalls, the system does not wait for someone to notice. It nurtures.
The lead nurturing layer keeps everything constantly moving toward the end goal, the won job and the repeat customer, with reviews and social reputation compounding at every turn.
How he leads
Austen's leadership principles, in his own words:
Looking ahead
Austen believes the home services industry is entering its most consequential technology shift in decades, and that the winners will be the businesses whose systems generate demand, respond to customers, automate the repetitive, and prove their value with data.
His work is focused on making that transformation practical: intelligent systems that work alongside people rather than replacing them, built for the realities of contractors rather than the abstractions of software demos.
